Berkshire Hotels
Berkshire is one of the oldest counties in England and often referred to as Royal Berkshire because it is the home of Windsor Castle. From here, walk across the bridge over the River Thames and you are in Eton where the famous public school is situated. Windsor is always a popular tourist attraction, offering boat rides along the river or picnics in nearby Windsor Great Park, or keep the children amused at Legoland. Reading is the county town of Berkshire and has a vibrant new shopping centre The Oracle as well as the Madejski Football Stadium. To the west of Berkshire Newbury has many 17th century buildings and is the start of the pretty Kennet & Avon Canal.
